Peace, Love and Pottery Next item The Hope Rock Story

Welcome to the first chapter of what I hope will become a place of encouragement, creativity, and community.

As I prepare to open The Imperfect Potter Studio, I can’t help but smile. This studio has lived in my heart for a long time, and in the next few weeks that dream begins to take shape.

My Dream

My dream has never been to simply teach pottery. My dream is to build a community.

I want The Imperfect Potter Studio to be a place where people gather around clay and discover something much deeper. Clay has a remarkable way of slowing us down. It reminds us to be patient, to embrace the unexpected, and to let go of perfection.

I know this because clay has done that for me. It has been a place where worries fade, creativity grows, and peace quietly replaces the noise of everyday life.

That’s the kind of studio I want to share with others.

Small Studio| Meaningful Connections

I could have filled my studio full of wheels and more people, but that’s never been my dream. My dream has always been to create a place where people feel seen, encouraged, and supported. Keeping classes intentionally small allows me to build relationships with each student, celebrate their progress, and walk alongside them as they discover the joy of working with clay. When you walk into my studio, I don’t want you to feel like you’re attending a class. I want you to feel like you’ve found your place to breathe and be yourself.

I believe learning pottery is personal. Every person arrives with a different story, different questions, different strengths, and sometimes different fears. Small classes allow me to meet you where you are, celebrate your progress, and help you grow with confidence.

Whether you’ve never touched clay or you’ve been creating for years, you’ll be welcomed exactly as you are. There is no pressure to be perfect here. In fact, imperfection is part of the journey. Every crooked bowl, every collapsed mug, and every lesson learned becomes part of your story as an artist.

We’ll celebrate every success, embrace every mistake, and cheer each other on because that’s how a community grows.

What’s Coming

Over the next several weeks, I’ll be sharing opportunities to join me in the studio, including Beginning Wheel Throwing, Luminary Workshops, Beads, Bells & Jewelry Workshops, Open Studio sessions, and special workshops designed for friends to gather, create, and make memories together.

If you’ve been looking for a place where you can slow down, learn something new, and be encouraged every step of the way, I hope you’ll join me.

I truly can’t wait to welcome you to The Imperfect Potter Studio.
